Restaurant Manager

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Restaurant Manager. This is a role that demands structure, effective communication, and a wealth of experience in leading teams within a busy environment. You should be collaborative, taking responsibility and initiative for continuous improvements and development while aligning with Surflogiet's core values. A positive attitude and a wish to spend time on the beautiful beach of Tofta is essential, you set the tone for the good vibes!

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, dedicated to understanding and embodying the essence of Surflogiet. An integral part of the management team, and you'll be involved in both pre-season preparations and post-season pack-downs. Your knowledge should span across wine, spirits, and food, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the intricate workings of a restaurant. Be a part of planning and assist during events, weddings and other group activities. Having an eye for aesthetics is a plus! 

Scheduling, ordering, vendor communication, stock management, meny planning, budgeting, and meeting budget targets for the staff are some of your responsibilities. You'll be coordinating daily restaurant operations, ensuring an optimal customer experience, updating menus, and reviewing product quality. Having a tight collaboration with bar manager, head chef, head waiters, and everyone else in your team.

As our prospective Restaurant Manager, you should genuinely enjoy working with people, possess a strong passion for service and have a proven track record of successfully leading and inspiring teams. Environmental consciousness is also important, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and care for our surroundings. 

To be considered for this role, experience is crucial. Proficiency in both Swedish and professional English, along with strong computer skills, is a prerequisite.  

This position offers a full-time on-site commitment from May to August, transitioning to part-time remote work during the off-season. Hence we are looking for you who spend your off-season traveling, running your own business or doing something else you love that combines well with your work at Surflogiet. Throughout the year, you'll work closely with the rest of the management team. In our smaller organization, a dedicated and ambitious spirit is key to becoming an indispensable part of Surflogiet. Assistant Restaurant Manager

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you're the right-hand bud in the restaurant operations, helping oversee the daily life of the place with a dash of finesse. From coordinating staff schedules to ensuring tables are set with precision (while resisting the urge to straighten every chair), you're the unsung hero behind our restaurant's seamless flow. If you're all about balancing the books, calming the kitchen chaos, and keeping the customer experience top-notch, join us in turning dining into a well-orchestrated culinary symphony. You answer to the Restaurant Manager and have a tight collab with the hof, head chef and bar manager, and of course everyone else. For this position you will start the season a bit earlier and leave a bit later. 

Head Waiter (Hovmästare)

As the charismatic captain of our dining ship, the head waiter leads the charge in orchestrating a symphony of service awesomeness. From juggling reservations like a pro to keeping the waitstaff in line (but not too straight), you are the secret sauce to our recipe for chill vibes and satisfied bellies. If making customers happy were an Olympic sport, our head waiters would be gold medalists! You are a hospitality superstar, you know your way around a restaurant and are happy to lead a team to success! Organized, responsible and a leader, that is you. You have a tight collab with the managers to make sure we are on track! 

Waiter

You move among our guests and go out with their orders, advise and take orders for food and drinks. You meet guests who come to us and help them settle into their experience. You keep our serving surfaces clean and prepared. You talk to the guests and spread a wonderful vibe around you wherever you go. You are the pulse to Surflogiet. You have experience from hospitality and a love for people, food, and drinks. A multitasker who is not afraid of a bit of hard work, but also keen to have a chat with our guests and banter with the kitchen staff while picking up the food.  (minimum age 20)

Barback/Dishwasher

Your job is the lubricant of the business. Your information is important for Surflogiet to function smoothly. You will have varied tasks behind all parts of the place that differ from shift to shift. Your work areas are sorting, marking, dish picking, washing and refilling, etc.  

Runner

Join our team of runners, the unsung heroes of the restaurant scene. You'll be mastering the art of balancing trays and delivering dishes with a smile that says, "I got this... most of the time." It's not exactly a marathon, but more like a casual jog through the world of Surflogiet with a side of laid-back cool. You make sure the restaurant is running, turning tables as a champ. (minimum age 20)

Kiosk Star

You are the shining light on a warm summer day! Through the kiosk window you serve our happy beach visitors ice cream, coffee and other yummy things. You love a good chat while scooping ice cream. Being self-driven is no challenge for you, and problem solving? Easy. A happy bubbly person who is not afraid of a bit of work, that is you. You want to start your hospitality career and be a part of a team of superstars on the magical beach of Surflogiet.
